CRABGRASS is a summer weed that germinates in early spring and grows fast untill the seed heads form in late summer to early fall. Control for crabgrass is done with a spring preventative application. Failure to control can result in unsightly clusters of coarse grass through-out the lawn.
THE IMPORTANCE OF CORE AERATION

Aeration is the naturally occurring pro-

cess of air exchange between the soil and its surrounding atmosphere. Roots need air, as well as water and other nutrients for growth. A core aerator will mechanically remove thousands of plugs containing thatch and soil from the lawn. These small cores will dissolve during rainfall, with the micro organisms in the cores helping to decompose the upper surface of the thatch layer.

The benefits of aeration’s NATURALLY occurring processes are:
* Improved turf grass rooting
* Enhanced heat and drought tolerance
* Improved thatch breakdown
* Enhanced soil water uptake
* Improved fertilizer uptake and benefit
* Reduced soil compaction
* Overall improvement of lawn’s health and vigor

Put all the benefits together and you will have a greener, thicker, healthier lawn.

WHITE GRUBS come from the European Chafer Beetle or the June Bug. The eggs are laid in late June, when flights of
these beetles are often seen late in the evening surrounding the trees in your yard. If left untreated, the egg will hatch, and the larva will begin feeding on the turf grass roots in the late summer and early fall. The grub matures quickly, and will survive over the winter until the following spring if treatment is ignored. The applications window for white grug control is mid-June through late August.
